I often get asked what are my favourite, repurchased, can't live without products. No better time to explore this then during a Sephora Sale right?!
Let's dive right in!
Amika is one of my favourite brands for haircare. I think I've tried everything in their collection and I have not been disappointed! Of coarse, it depends on your concerns so read up on any of them before purchasing. I have blonde ombre hair so any product that can help with keeping the bright blonde from turning brass between appointments is ideal. I've tried many, many.. did I say many? products over the years and the Amika Bust your brass leave in mousse mixed with the IGK Mixed Feelings leave in toning drops are the BFF combo you never knew you needed.
You control the amounts you'd like to mix together depending on your hair length and desired brightness. First use the Amika Mousse in the palm of your hand, and then add the drops directly on top, mix together and evenly work it into your hair. I have medium length fine hair, and use 3 drops of the IGK with one full pump of the Amika mousse. You'll find your desired amount as you become more familiar with the results. I've been doing this for what feels like forever now, so I'm very quick mixing it together and washing my hands right after. To start, I would recommend using gloves so the purple doesn't stay on your hands!
Another Amika favourite is the un.done volume and matte texture spray. As mentioned I have fine hair so anything that can help with volume without being too stiff or uncomfortable is what I look for! This spray also works as a dry shampoo to give that matte finished look!
The lip plump of all lip plumps! I've been using the Smashbox O-Plump for almost 10 years. I've tried others but always resort back to this one! The plump isn't too aggressive and it goes on clear but changes to a slight pink shade giving that plump hydrated look and feel! It adjusts to your skin's own pH level for the shade of pink, so you know will look good and natural on everyone who tries it!
The Fenty Beauty gloss in Fu$$y is another favourite with a subtle shimmer pink and Shea butter conditioning feels as good as it looks.
These two products I always have multiple of on the go; my car, my purse, my jackets. I just can't go without either one, and the shades look great on everyone!
To finish off my lip must haves is the Nars Dragon Girl matte lip pencil. It's been my go to red for years! You can go bold, as it's easy to apply with the convenience of a bigger pencil, and leaves a velvety finish. Or go lighter with a few strokes and blend the creamy texture before it sets for a less bold look. You can even add a touch of gloss on top too if you want a brighter finish. This is that long lasting formula you've been searching for. It's my formula choice for any event because you can eat and drink and it stays untouched!
The yellow family that is all things Purity! Including the one step cleanser I've been using for 12 years for many reasons! I have tried other cleansers from curiosity but nothing compares to this one! What I love most about it is that its a one step cleanser, removing your makeup and mascara so easily! It's so gentle that you can even open your eyes without any sensitivity. It also leaves your skin balanced and soft without it feeling tight. It acts as a great makeup brush cleanser, and I even use it as a shampoo once a month to take out all the left over residue our hair products leave that shampoos don't always remove. It's the only product you need for an overnight trip as well. A little goes a long way, so why not use it as a quick shower gel or shaving cream too! A newer product is the Purity micellar cleansing water, that I use with a cotton pad to double cleanse leaving your skin feel super refreshed. Lastly, the Purity Pore Extractor uses clay to extract access oil and blackheads from our pores. It also has salicylic acid to help improve the look of any acne scars, and leaves your skin glowing with less visible pores. After one use, you notice a huge improvement which is very impressive based on it's price point too!
The Sephora Collection cleansing wipes are always great to have in your collection. They are so convenient for any rinse free situations, or even to use before cleansing if you have a lot of make up on. Although, they have multiple options the coconut and watermelon are my go to! The price point is great too, $10 for 25 wipes.
Laniege has the best leave on overnight lip mask for hydration and repair. Leaving your lips super soft and enriched with vitamin C and antioxidants. Vanilla is my favourite but they just released a Sweet Candy Limited Edition online, that may or may not be in my basket already!
Shiseido's Full Lash and Brow Serum is another all time favourite! It's a high performing serum with a hydration formula for thicker lashes and fuller brows! Just make sure to wipe off the applicator before putting it back into it's container.
Finding your favourite mascara takes a lot of trails, and after all these years this combo never disappoints. The Burberry Cat Lashes Mascara has been my go to for years! The mascara is build-able for length and volume, giving you that fanned out eye-opening look! I use this for my top lashes in Ultra black; Jet black, Brown and Midnight Blonde are also available!
The Benefit They're Real Mascara is also a favourite for my bottom lashes. Anyone else feel like bottom lash mascara tends to fall and smudge throughout the day? This mascara's brush makes it super easy to apply to smaller lashes without clumping or falling onto the skin! For a bottom lash, it's all about the brush applicator!
Finding the best concealer is another trail of many before finding which one works for you. I prefer ones that feel light, blend easily and can cover a blemish to an under eye dark circle. The Too Faced Born this way Naturally Radiant Concealer is an oil free, more natural concealer infused with skincare benefits. It's base is coconut water to help replenish moisture levels and hyaluronic acid for a smooth and brighter appearance. The Charlotte Tilbury Magic Away Concealer is more of a full coverage, dark circle, colour correcting concealer. It gives the illusion of a lifted and reduced fine line appearance. The bigger sponge applicator allows for a quick application and helps blend it out!
Last but certainly not least is my go to CC cream!
It Cosmetics Your Skin but Better CC+ Cream with SPF 50+ has been my go to for all seasons for years. It's your 'everything you need in one bottle' type of product, full of benefits and results driven. Full coverage yet an extremely light feel with anti aging properties and UVA and UVB SPF. It adds hydration and an overall smooth and brighter texture. A little goes a long way, it's super easy to blend and the amount of skincare benefits is truly impressive!
